Raphael from Camelot was at my house at 5am with a smile asking if we remembered all our documents just like at a wedding. Love him!
Jet Blue from JFK, love the TV in the seat backs. It left without a hitch, customs was easy and we got in a half hour early on the way back.
The check-in wasn't for an hour so we went to the sandwitch shop for lunch. The fried burrito was the best thing I ate while we were there. It was soo good.
Our room was was it was BEAUTIFUL. The bed was huge with white billowy curtins around it and the mattress was wonderful for our old backs. Ther bathroom was big and spottless with a very roomy shower, 2 sinks and a water closet. There was a Jacuzzi next to the the patio door, which had a hammock, table & chairs and a little pool to dip in. Once I was in I didn't want to leave!
The beach had 2 sections. One had sand, a retaining wall then the water. This was by the 'activities pool' the other was a walk into the water kind of beach. It was a little rocky but not bad IMO. There were fish who liked to eat bread... they have no ovens so it's a treat... and best of all these swinging beds to lay in the sun on (see picture) These are how thy lure you out of the room. I could own one of there. The beds rocked!
We had a couples massage. It was OK.
I'm kinda lame as i went to lay there and do nothing so that's just what I did. But other's were enjoying the kayacking & snorkeling. Boat trips were off site things.
I don't drink since my sugar started swinging but I did see all primium bottles on the racks.
In order to be fair I have to mention that that they were rebuilding from a storm while I was there. Many of the rooms were being worked on so the occupency was down. Not noisy or intrusive in any way but it did have some drawbacks. The major one was how this translated into scaling back on the restaurants. Of the 2 that I was told were the best, one never opened for dinner, and the other was open for nothing but dinner the while week we were there. It was advertized as 'gourmet' and maybe to someone not exposed to all the truly wonderful food in this area of the country it would have been but I was disappointed.
Everythin else was super!
