Rehearsal at the Hall

Ladies Ladies Ladies....
There are no rules anymore and this is going to be the best and the most confusing thing about the wedding day.
Can I still have a rehearsal if I am getting married at the hall?
The answer is YES. Nobody says you have to... but of course you can.
At a catering hall the rehearsal is run by the maitre-d and usually takes place an hour to a half hour before the ceremony.
Most halls DO do this with you unless you opt out.
It isn't rocket science. It's guys to the right, girls to the left, the maitre-d will tell you when to go and the officiant will tell you where to land. If everyone in your bridal party is an adult and they all know the drill and there is a choice to have all the photos done and see cocktail hour... then it is fine without one.
If there are small children, a young large bridal party, parents lighting candles, readers wanting to know where to stand... then you might want one.
Some halls will let you come on a Wednesday night, when there are no other events, and an extra fee may be added to get a staff member in to run you through.
Some couples still do a rehearsal dinner, but without a physical rehearsal.
The diagram I have as the photo here can be filled in and passed around to make everyone - the Bride and Groom especially - more comfortable.
The diagram is also a great tool to help figure out your processional. If we know where you want your Bridal party to land, it takes no time at all for your officiant or banquet manager to make that happen.
Notice also the 1st row of seats. Parents and grandparents are usually there, but many couples have more than one set of all these! So make sure staff knows how many seats you will need on each side. Also if Grandma or a single mom has entered with someone who can't walk them out, don't forget to chat about an escort for their exit.
Ok that's all my thoughts for now!
Happy Planning!
