Pets at the wedding?

Pets are a huge part of our lives. They teach us how to nurture and care for one another, we trust them with our deepest secrets, and the offer us a shining example of unconditional love.
Can we mention them in the ceremony?
Yes!
Can the play a part in the ceremony?
This will depend on your venue and how well mannered they are. Catering Halls have the Board of Health's regulations to comply with, but they will sometimes allow pets to be at their outdoor ceremonies.
Public Parks, Gazebo's, beaches, all normally are very pet friendly and when you marry off site there is time between the ceremony and reception for photos and to return your pet home.
My advice is to know what your pet will be able to do and simply ask only that of them. If they are perky give them to a groomsman to hold at the end of the line of groomsmen. I once had an old Golden walk all by himself down the aisle and lay down to sleep by the groom's feel through the entire ceremony. Smaller dogs that like to be held are perfect for someone to hold!
This couple are so happy to be sharing their day with their 'fur child' (photo credit to Chris of As You Wish Photography) Would having your pet with you make your day brighter? Then by all means, I say why not!
