October's 'BEST BUD' is:
The Asiatic Lily
When planning an October wedding, the selection of flowers need not be a stress. Take advantage of the traditional flowers of autumn such the bloom of a lily.
October is also a prime month for lilies. While typically thought of as a spring flower, properly tended lilies have a second bloom season in the first blush of cool weather after the summertime heat. For a majority of the United States, this means that these classically beautiful flowers will be available to the
October bride.
In combination with the lily, popular October flowers like mums, sunflowers, and dahlias can add a mix of color and visual interest to any wedding creation.
Asiatic lilies are smaller and more economical than most varieties of lilies. These are what people may commonly call a Tiger Lily because they come in such bright and vibrant orange tones. They also come in pinks, yellows, whites, and other colored hybrids.
The Asiatic lilies are the hardiest of the lily family. That is why they are great
for wedding flowers. These gorgeous blooms will create an outstanding focal point in any bouquet or centerpiece!
