Not Just a Name but a Memory...
Apr 06, 2011 09:55 AM Back
Most events have a special place for guests to sign in and write their names. This is a great way to remember who came to your wedding but what if you don't just want their name is a plain book with lines?
Here are some creative ideas to go beyond a typical sign-in book and make really great memories:
1) A scrap book sign-in: Create a scrap book of pictures of you and your future spouse. You can even use your engagement photos. Or maybe create a special timeline of your relationship through pictures in the scrapbook. Then guests can write whatever they want in the book while also viewing pictures of your special memories.
2) Memory Book Box: My personal favorite is the memory book box (picture included). This is a box in the shape of a book. It can be decorated anyway you like. It usually comes plain and then can be painted, embellished with glitter, pictures, ribbon, etc. You can close the box but cut a slit in the top. Then next to the box put paper and a pen with instructions or a little poem. Them poem/instructions should explain that you want people to use the paper and pen to write down their favorite memory of you and your spouse, then they fold it up and put it in. After the wedding you and your spouse can open the box up and read through all of the funny, wonderful, happy memories people have of you.
3) The Martha Stewart 'LOVE' poster with signatures: Have the poster (picture included) or one similar printed and then have guests sign the poster. After the wedding you can have it framed and hang it in your house as a great keepsake.
