When it comes to beaches Aruba has it all - 42 miles of coastline on an island thats only 75 square miles.  That's a lot of sand and sun to take in after a fun filled wedding.  Pull up a lounge chair at your resort or visit any of the island's many public beaches.  Palapa’s are often free at public beaches (first come first serve) and chairs and umbrellas easily rented.  Bring your snorkel gear. The sea life in Aruba is known to be one of the best in the carribean.  

With hundreds of restaurants to chose from, your pallet will truly be satisfied.  Many favorites of honeymooners include: Passions, Atardi, Barefoot, and Pinchos.  Most of these will have you  leaving  your shoes behind as you gaze at the sunset watching boats pass by while you sink your toes in the  sand.  Want something a little more adventurous? Head to Flying Fishbone.  Make reservations in advance and actually be seated in their dining area in the water!  You will wade your feet in about 4-6 inches of the Beautiful turquoise waters of Aruba.  If you're extra lucky you’ll see a crab scurry past your table or even an eel!

Looking for adventure? Well Aruba has it!  Rent a Jeep for at least a day and head out to the natural park. Take a dip in the natural pools (snorkel and water shoes recommended as the fish are plentiful) and explore two of the islands caves.  Head past the windmills and see Aruba’s stunning  coastline. You will also pass hundreds of cactus and see Aruba's natural beauty.  Get there early to beat the crowds.  Park opens by eight. Afterwards stop at Casibari Rock Formation and take an easy hike to the top for some more incredible views of the Aruba’s landscape.

One of Aruba’s most famous and picturesque locations is the famous flamingo island. Take a short boat ride to the island and plan to spend the day there. If you are a guest at the Renaissance Aruba Marriott - admission is included. There is an adults only section of flamingo island for added privacy during sunbathing as well as an open air cabana for Massages. Book these in advance.

Dont forget to hit the California lighthouse on the north end of the island. Take over 100 steps to the top of this incredibly restored lighthouse.  Views are breathtaking  as and you can see the East and West coast at the same time. Hold onto your hats as it gets windy. But no worries it’s all caged in.  Dazzle your taste buds on some lunch or dine during a warm sunset at the restaurant near its base; Faro Blanco. Make reservations in advance.  Check the sunset times for your dates and plan to arrive an hour before.  

If you’re an animal lover there’s plenty of furry and feathered friends to visit.  Enjoy feeding ostrich at aruba’s ostrich farm. If four legged friends and primates are more your speed then you will love feeding carrots (included in admission) to the adorable residents at Philip’s Animal Garden.  Ask for extra carrots and they will hook you up ;) . Rescued donkeys can also be fed at the Donkey Sanctuary.  These descendants from the miners who once occupied Aruba are sure to steel your heart.  Bring your own fruit or purchase a bowl on site. Admission is free.  Only feed the ones at their visitor center. They are the super friendly ones. 

Butterflies have long been a favorite of many.  Stop by and see many native and imported butterflies at  Aruba’s very own Butterfly Farm.  Their private guide will teach you all there is to know.  Bring coins to feed their Koi fish as well.

Aruba is also know for its 160 years of harvesting some of the best Aloe in the world.  So after the butterfly garden, pop over and take a tour of the Aruba Aloe Factory.  Watch the locals prepare the aloe and make some of the best skin care products on the island.  Check their schedule to make sure the workers are in.

Aruba is an excellent destination for your honeymoon and just a short flight away. Most cities offer nonstop service as well.  Most couples choose to spend at least one week.
