Helena & Matt's Atlantica wedding
Aug 08, 2009 09:43 AM Back
A beautiful wedding at Atlantica on Thursday 8/6/09. Helena & Matt had every intention of getting married on Ponquogue Beach- the benches were rented, we had hand-painted signs for a shoe check, with towels for the guests to wipe off the sand too, but the weather was giving us all a lot of doubt.
Our beautiful bride made the official decision to scrap the beach plans and have the ceremony & reception at Atlantica in Westhampton Beach. And despite the fact that every single weather forecast was wrong and the rain avoided us, they were still able to take all of their pictures outside on the beach.
The service, the staff at Atlantica is top notch. Lisa, Jessica and Nicole run this place like a well oiled machine. I love working with them! The food was amazing too. My favorite treat- Lisa (Maitre'D) gave me a piece of cake that was cut wrong, and didn't want to waste it- and I couldn't just let it be thrown out. It was sooo delicious.
Oh and I did forget to say, our bride and groom were stunning! One of the highlights of the wedding was the anniversary dance. I have seen this done before and it is always nice, but the bride knew in advance that the winners would be the groom's grandparents- and when they were the only ones left on the floor, the DJ put the Grandparent's wedding song on. It was beautiful watching them still glide across the dance floor after 67-years!
Up next for me Christine & Alarik's wedding at Stage 6, Steiner Studios in Brooklyn! Until then, happy planning!
