Great to be in New York!

I love this area! Tuesday evening I married a couple in a small ceremony at Cafe on the Green in Bayside. The landmark building was originally the summer home of Rudolph Valentino and his wife Natacha Rambova. There were photos from Hollywood's golden age on the wood walls, and what a sense of history!
The Grand Prospect Ballroom in Brooklyn is another venue with a colorful past. When Al Capone was in town the bar downstairs was always closed to all but Al and his guests.
How lucky are we to have such interesting pieces of history right within our reach? I love LI & NY!
PS, I really need a camera to blog effectively. I'm going to be working on that soon!
