Ideas for FlowerGirls!
Wondering what kind of flowers to give your flowergirl? Here are some helpful ideas to help you decide!
-A smaller version of the bridesmaids bouquets is a wonderful choice for a flowergirl, but depending on their age it may be a little bit too big for a younger girl.
-A flower ball (pomander) - A flowers is relatively easy to carry and not too heavy. It can be created from many different types of flowers, but chrysanthemums work well with young children as the ball can be kept quite small. I always coordinate the color of the ribbon handle with the colour of their dresses. Here is a photo of a pomander ball or kissing ball as they are sometimes called.
- Basket of flower petals - A small basket or decorative bucketof petals is a popular way of involving young children in the service. They can scatter the petals in the ceremony area before the arrival of the bride. I often place color coordinated ribbons onto the side of the basket to fit with the brides color theme.
-A hair wreath- A wreath for the girl's head is a beautiful choice. Using small, delicate flowers give it a very danty and adorable look.
