Blessing Stones

In the category of cool and different, my Saturday evening couple wanted to do a ring warming. This is where the wedding bands are passed through the guests as they all have well wishes in their hearts. The problem was that there were too many guests to do this with and still be sure that the rings would make it to the front of the room before i asked for them.
So the couple opted for 'Blessing Stones' Below is the introduction;
'Our Bride and Groom believe that "You get married together, yet the support of friends and family is an important part of the journey." As you entered you found stones on your seats. They are called blessing stones, and are to be held through the ceremony, so that the emotional memory of this day and the love that you all feel for ____ and ____ will resonate within them. After the ceremony our bride and groom ask that you place the stones in the container at the back of the ceremony space with your best wishes.'
They did not choose to have a bridal party, but another thing that the Bride's best friends did for her before the ceremony - that inspired a tear-fest - involved her something borrowed. Her girlfriends all gave the bride their own wedding bands to wear during the ceremony as a show of their support for her marriage.
