Consider seating kids at a kids table and having plenty of entertainment to keep them occupied while mom and dad hit the dance floor. You may even want to have some kid-friendly tunes so the mini-mes can show off THEIR moves. Another idea is renting out a separate room and having a baby sitter on hand where kids can go do their own thing. Make sure you provide enough entertainments including coloring books, books, movies, games, etc.
2. Set Up A DYI Food Station: Give guests the chance to show off their culinary skills with an interactive food station allowing guests to create their own version of familiar favorites. Consider a “self-serve” sushi bar, or a build your own burger bar to a whole host of other DYI options, it’s a delicious way to keep guests entertained.
3. Slip Into Something More Comfortable: While changing into a posh party dress may not be necessary, it just MAY be something you want to seriously consider if you a wearing a Cinderalla-style ball gown to your ceremony. Slipping into something short and sexy that makes it easy to move and groove in will ensure you have a good time at your party. This rule applies to grooms to. Men may opt to take off their tie and tuxedo jacket or simply slip into a more casual suit…whatever suits their party style.
4. Lounge Out: From setting up soft and comfortable lounge chairs right on the beach or asking your venue to designate a sophisticated lounge area for your guests, this is a great space and place for friends and family to retreat from the festivities and enjoy some good conversation and a drink.
5. Tasteful Tasting Stations: Besides greeting guests with a signature drink and/or having an open bar…consider treating guests to a wine, beer, or aperitif tasting station to whet their appetite and their whistle.
