I am a certified Life-Cycle Celebrant and New York State Wedding Officiant, serving Long Island and the Greater New York City area. I will bring sincerity and simple beauty to your ceremony, whether it is non-denominational, interfaith, civil, same-sex, and even vow renewals. At the heart of my ceremonies is storytelling, the stories that bring two people together and your story is the center around which I will create an extremely personal and unique ceremony. My mission is to create a ceremony that reflects YOUR needs, beliefs, cultural background, and values as a couple. Together, we will work closely to write the ceremony of your dreams! In addition, I will make sure everything runs smoothly with the logistics of the ceremony, so you don't have to worry about anything on the big day!
Interview With Ceremonies from the Heart with Jill
Life-Cycle Celebrant, Wedding Officiant and Ordained Minister
1. Tell us about Ceremonies from the Heart with Jill and the inspiration behind the company:
After attending two weddings a year apart with ceremonies that were personal and intimate, different from typical scripted weddings, I knew I could perform weddings like these and put my whole heart and soul into it. I love performing weddings, getting to know the couple and being an integral part of their big day.
2. Do you have a company motto/philosophy and if so what is it?
I don't have a motto, but my philosophy is pretty basic, perform a ceremony that will be long remembered for its personal, warm and from the heart feeling.
3. If you met a bride or groom to be and had literally one minute to tell them why they should use your company what would you say?
You will see from my testimonials that I really get to know you as a couple, and as individuals, and together we will write the most personalized and unique ceremony. I am passionate about what I do and I, along with your input, will create the wedding ceremony of your dreams.
4. What sets you apart from other Officiants?
I take the time to really get to know the couple, their story and their wishes and when I put the ceremony together, it is performed and read as if I have known the couple for a very long time! I am also a Life-Cycle Celebrant, which means I have been trained in storytelling, rituals and traditions, and the art of celebrating the rites of passage in our lives that sometimes get overlooked.
5. How do you help a couple achieve their dream wedding?
By listening to the couple's needs and desires, I make sure that their wedding ceremony is one they will always cherish, and their guests will never forget!
