Decided to give Taste a try last night since we were looking for someplace casual for drinks and apps to celebrate my sis in laws birthday . Originally we were hoping to sit at the bar, but since it was packed we put our names in for a table in the bar area. Although every seat was taken and the bar was clearly busy, the bartender immediately acknowledged and greeted us and said he'll be with us in a second . The hostesses could not have been nicer. When a table became avail in the main dining room, she offered it to us first since she said it may be a bit of a wait for a table in the bar area. We opted to just wait and were seated within 20 min . Our server was excellent and so attentive . We ended up ordering what felt like every appetizer on the menu! She intentionally staggered the delivery of the apps so we were not overwhelmed and could enjoy each one while it was hot. Managers were present and came over through the meal to be sure we were happy with everything ..They even changed our plates and silverware halfway thru the apps. Spinach dip was by far everyone's favorite , my husband loved the crab cakes , their specialty pizza of the day was excellent as was the kale salad and everything else. The ONLY item we were not happy with was the calamari, which was either over or under cooked (not quite sure). Manager came over and took it off the bill. Once our table was cleared they brought over dessert w candle for my sis in law. I was so impressed the manager/ hostess had already told our server we we celebrating a birthday! We will definitely be back !!

Impeccable service!! The short rib rigatoni was amazing!!! Beautiful place. The new go to place on Long Island.

My boyfriend and I went in for dinner on a Tuesday night. The decor is beautiful, cool ambiance, 90s music playing in the background. Service was a 10, food was great though a bit pricey. We had the crusted salmon and rib eye steak. Would recommend for date night or drinks with the girls.

A great experience. Place has a cool vibe, huge bar with plenty of bartenders. Meal was excellent, all apps were delicious (tuna, artichoke dip, clams and warm kale salad), highlight of the meal was that they had a bone in filet mignon on special and it came out exactly as requested. A very hard find on the south shore. Will certainly be back!

Newly opened Bistro which instantly has become the go to place in Massapequa. Sophisticated design, great large bar area, and varied menu promises and delivers something for everyone. We had the tuna tartare, crab cakes, and meat lovers pizza from the bar menu. Our bar neighbors had the steak sandwich, then the striped bass from the entree menu. All agreed the chef is highly skilled in both taste and presentation. Go there soon or you may have trouble getting in, as this place is sure to be a huge success.
