Tell us about some of the wedding packages you offer?

We offer three different style receptions. Our signature European-Style wedding and reception includes a spectacular cocktail hour followed by a formal seated dinner with a menu created exclusively for the bride & groom by our executive chef and culinary team. After dinner, guests can dance the night away and enjoy our European dessert café.

Sophisticated and elegant, our Mansion-Style receptions treat our guests to a continuous cocktail reception featuring an array of delectable hand-passed hors d’oeuvres to start the evening. After cocktail hour the feast continues as we feature chef-attended display stations and top-shelf bars throughout the mansion while the party gets started with dancing in the Ballroom or under the stars in the Glass ceilinged Garden Room. The evening finishes off with our European Dessert Café.

Traditional Style - after enjoying a spectacular cocktail hour with display stations and hand-passed hors d’oeuvres, guests will be seated in the Ballroom for a traditional, elegant, and unforgettable evening of cocktails, dinner, and dancing.

Tell us how your facility differs from the “norm” and how you can make a couple’s wedding magic happen and wedding dreams come true?

As guests approach the historic early 20th-century mansion and grounds, they will begin to realize the wonderful experience that awaits. Carefully manicured lawns and gardens, a graceful curved loggia, beautiful verandas, distinguished marble urns and statuary, and unique European linden trees herald the arrival and provide ideal backdrops for the photographs commemorating the special day. Since only one wedding at a time is held at the mansion, de Seversky provides unmatched, highly personalized service and an attention to detail that will exceed your expectations.

What kind of couple would you say do you and your facility most cater to?

We cater to couples who do not want the typical wedding factory, country club atmosphere for their special day. Couples can enjoy one of the most elegant and romantic settings on Long Island’s Gold Coast.

Tell us about the magic and ambiance your facility has to offer for each season?

Spring and Summer are lush and bright with our trees, gardens, flowers and fountains. Fall offers a surrounding of beautiful fall foliage especially behind the patio and surrounding the lake. For the Holidays the Mansion is exquisitely decorated both inside and out. We also offer seasonal menus which feature the freshest ingredients for the time of year.

Tell us about some of the most unique events you’ve hosted?

We have hosted small, intimate events to large lavish 400 person weddings covering a wide range of styles and budgets.

Tell us about some hot trends in wedding catering and how your are helping set such trends.

Many Families for 2010 are booking Mansion style affairs; these seem to be what’s hot for a mansion setting. Full use of the entire house for a fun, transient affair with new surprises throughout the night as we unveil new galleries with food stations, flavored martini bars and Dessert café‘s. We have infused quality and value into our menu selections and have developed new industry stations.

How far in advance should a couple start looking for a catering hall?

At least 8-10 months. If a bride and groom are looking for a specific date then at least a year to a year and a half … dates go fast.

How can you help couples “customize” their special event…

By customizing them…listening to what they want…what they envision. We do not just tell them this is how “WE” run the wedding. We explain how “THEIR” event will be run based on their dreams, needs and want. Every event is made so uniquely special here because of the individual personalities of the couples and their families…the mansion finds its own way to tap into the romantic emotions of all the guests and creates an aura that we can’t quite explain but it just makes the wedding better, more special, for that couple to experience and share with their guests.
