I just had my wedding at Floral Terrace. There are a great number of plusses that definitely outweigh a few negatives. One major positive for my wife and I is that your event is the only event going on. So many of the other wedding venues are like wedding factories, pumping out 3 at a time or more. It definitely makes you and your guests feel special, knowing that the entire space is yours. Another positive is Frank, the manager. He feels genuine in his attempts to make sure your event is going to be everything you want it to be. They are fairly accommodating. The cocktail hour food is fantastic and they know where to enhance their product to really make it count. One example is for one of our carving stations, we selected corned beef. Frank volunteered to add in cabbage and potatoes since a large portion of the guests are Irish. It was a nice touch. There was also ample seating for our guest list of about 150. This is a departure from many other cocktail hours I've been to where it's usually standing room only. We had a nice selection of the cocktail hour food in the bridal suite and the bridal attendants served up a bunch of small plates for us. It was very nice. The reception hall is great. I liken it to a greco roman spaceship bridge. The curving sloped walls really give me a Star Trek Next Generation Enterprise bridge feel. My other nerdy friends agree with me haha. The DJ we selected (Genesis Events) has a special arrangement with Floral Terrace. They have their own speaker system installed so you have surround music instead of just blasting from the front. It enables the DJ to have loud music without deafening people. This is the first wedding I've walked away from in a long time where I could talk the next day and didn't have rock concert ears afterwards. My guests couldn't believe the Venetian Hour after dinner and dancing. Chocolate fountain, contain candy, crepes, Italian cookies and cakes, ice cream sundae bar, etc. Complete with take-home boxes. Most of my guests came away saying that this is the best wedding and party they've ever been to. And this was all at a fairly reasonable price that was less expensive than a lot of other venues we looked at. This is especially true when you factor in all the things that FT includes in your price. We didn't even have to go shopping around for a cake since a cake from ButterCookery across the street is included. Now the downsides. The groom (me!) was supposed to have an attended. I think this ended up being the main maitre'd, but he was busy handling everything else since we didn't have any sort of wedding planner, so before the ceremony started I had to fend for myself for a lot of things. The entrees could be a /little/ better. They slightly show the affects of being mass produced. But they're definitely tasty enough, especially considering the amount of cocktail hour food you get.

Let me start off by stating that this venue is absolutely gorgeous! I had a great time at a good friend's wedding, too! Food: the cocktail hour stole the show, really. There was so much food available that merely "trying" everything would probably make anyone full for an evening. My favorite items were the Paella and fried calamari. There are a few areas that this venue can improve upon: if you are setting up hibachi grills, remember to ventilate the room! Secondly, employees who are severely allergic to shellfish probably shouldn't be serving Paella and fried calamari. The main dining room's food was great, too! Lamb is highly recommended! They even came around asking if anyone needed seconds! Service: many of the employees at this venue all look under 18 years of age. It's amazing that they do such a good job, but experience matters, too. Examples abound, but I won't list them here. More training will prove fruitful in the future. Decor: this venue is so beautiful, with its elevated dance floor, colorful lights, and beautiful chandeliers, it certainly is a great place to get married.

I just had my wedding here less than 2 weeks ago and I cannot say enough about this place. What an incredible find! I had never heard of this venue before and came across it by chance and I truly believe it was fate. This was the first venue I saw and I fell in love. My husband made me see a few others just to be sure, but there was no comparison. Then I did a food tasting there and I was sold. The hall is absolutely gorgeous!! I love the carvings in the ceiling and the incredible cherub ceiling and chandelier. I also love that there was so much seating in the cocktail hour, nobody was standing! The food never ended! and what makes it better is that the food was so so so good! There is not one person that did not call me raving saying it was the best food they ever had. All of it was amazing. It was nothing short of spectacular. Also, because it was a theater, the acoustics were so good and the music sounded phenomenal. The people there are so accommodating! There is literally nothing they say no to. They will do anything and everything to make your day special! I want to come back and have something here so bad! Thank you Frank, Dana, & Paul, you made my day unforgettable!
