When my husband and I first booked our wedding with Ives and Deb, we selected a package that contained 74 pictures in our album, 22 pictures in our parents' album, two 11x14 photos, one 16x20 photo, and all the proofs. We figured 74 pictures would be plenty, since all the wedding albums that we have seen from our friends and family did not have more that 50 pictures at the most. Well, were we wrong, we ended up with 214 pictures in our album. Even our parents added some pictures to their albums. Ives and Deb took at leat 300 photos that day. All the pictures were phenomenial. It was so hard to decide which pictures we wanted in our album, since every single picture came out perfect. So that is how we came to have 214 pictures in our album. Ives and Deb captured every single moment of our day. They took pictures of things that we did not even know they took. They got shots of our guests having a great time. They even got a shot of my husband and I just looking at each other in the church. They really 'capture the moment' of your day. On a personal note, Ives and Deb are wonderful people. They really care about the bride, groom, and everyone important to you. They are friendly and personable. You really feel that your special day is just as important to them as it is to you. We would definitely reccomend Ives and Deb. It was such an educational experience meeting Debbie and Ives b/c they don't just sell you on their pictures but they educate you in what to look for when visiting other studios. My fiance and I saw Photos of the Heart first, went to other studios, but ended up back at Photos of the Heart because all the key elements that we were taught to look for didn't exist in other studios. The quality and time were very evident with Photos of the Heart even against studios that quoted much more affordable prices. Photos of the Heart had taught my fiance and I all about the finer points of photography and that a 'Point and Click' attitude doesn't get the job done. Photos of the heart truly did a superb job. My wife and I are on the shy side and are not usually comfortable with taking pictures however they made us feel extremely comfortable. I would highly recommend photos of the heart for any occasion.

Before the wedding...
My Fiance and I had the mindset that we were going to do everything in 3's. Meet 3 photographers, 3 DJs, etc. We had our first photography meeting with Ives, from Photos of the Heart. Upon sitting down, we were immediately drawn into the fact that Ives and Debbie have a true passion for what they do- they turned their home into a showcase and office for their work. Personally, my fiance and I love the small, family run business style. Throughout our entire first meetings, Ives educated us on photography, what to look for, what not to look for, how that great picture is taken ect. We went through his photo albums, pictures on the computer, and a video DVD of his work! His experience seemed endless and his knowledge in photography was inevitable. We left the meeting feeling confident about Photos of the Heart and slightly more educated in what to look for thanks to Ives. But we had in our minds we had to see two other photographers before a decision was made. Upon going to other photographers, my fiance and I were slightly shocked. We sat down at photographer meetings, looked at their work and actually knew MORE than the photographer who took the picture in regards to what was wrong with their pictures! We were disgusted in what we saw other photographers call “great wedding pictures” -where Frank and I saw flaws and inconsistencies-all based on our education from Ives, other photographers demonstrated as their “best work”. When we went back to Photos of the Heart, and had another meeting with Ives, we were thrilled to ask him to photograph our wedding. We feel confident that he will capture those memories at our wedding that we want to remember forever. We feel so confident because Ives took the time to not just “show” us his best work, but he choose to educate and demonstrate how he knew to capture those unforgettable memories and turn them into pictures.
