What services/products do you offer?Marry Me! Designs is a custom wedding invitation studio. We offer custom designed, handmade wedding invitations and day-of stationery. Guest addressing, custom postage and free samples are just a few of the many services we provide.
What are some of the hottest trends you are seeing in invitations this season?Crystals, Rhinestone slides, pockets, layers - these are just some of the hottest trends in wedding invitations today. Boxed invitations are growing more popular too! Brides are sending a 'packaged' invitation to announce their big day!
How can you help a couple make their invitations personal, custom and unique?Working closely with our clients is very important to the whole design process. Your budget is taken into serious consideration and the possibilities or limitations it creates are expressed. If a client is 'shooting for the moon' on a very small budget, it's just not likely to happen. And we're very honest about that. We'll show exactly what it will cost to make your invitations and what the services involved will cost too. The ultimate decision is the bride's, but they can make an informed decision. We'll make suggestions and provide alternatives wherever possible. Brides are encouraged to send us their 'inspiration'; Cakes, shoes, jewelry, flowers, bridesmaid dresses anything showing the theme or style they're looking for in their wedding. Custom monograms and personalized postage add touches to the ensemble.
How have invitations changed over the years?Invitations are ever-changing! Bride's want that certain 'Wow' factor. This is the biggest day of their life! Whether it's a casual outdoor wedding or an amazing the-sky's-the-limit wedding weekend, we can accommodate whatever the need. Years ago invitations were white or ivory and letter-pressed in black ink or thermography (raised) printed. Looking through books and books of sample invitations took hours and eventually they all started to look the same. Today technology gives us great design capabilities and printers that can create depth and elegance for a fraction of the cost.
How soon should invitations be orderedGenerally, you want to send your invitations out 6-10 weeks before your event. Depending on the complexity of your design we ask for at least 3-6 weeks to turn around an order.
How many extra invitations in general should a couple order, if any?Depending on if they're doing an 'A' list and a 'B' list for additional guests as the 'unable to attend' responses come back. Generally most of my clients add an extra 10-20 invites. Keep in mind there's no minimums either, so you can order as many or as few as you need.
How long does an order usually take to arrive?Invitations are generally shipped via USPS Priority mail or FedEx. Most orders arrive in approximately 2-4 days, depending on their destination.
What are typical components of an invitation?Typical invitations consist of the printed invitation, a reception card (can be omitted if your ceremony and reception are at the same location), Response card and response card envelope and Mailing Envelope. Additional inserts can be created to accommodate any needs - hotel information, directions or a map. The great thing is that you're not limited. If you need it, we can create it!
How are they put together? And, who puts them together?Typically assembly is done for you by us and your order arrives ready to be sealed and taken to the post office. We take great pride in the craftsmanship and quality of our invitations and want our clients to be 110% satisfied! Having us take care of it saves you time, stress and maybe even a few paper cuts! This gives you more time to plan and enjoy all the areas of planning your wedding.
