We are so happy with our choice! We insisted on Fabio as our MC and he was fabulous. They did the cocktail hour and gave us a CD of all the music, which was nice, as we didn't get to our cocktail hour at all. We gave them a huge "must play" list but allowed him to work the crowd also. I really didn't want anything like "Shout" but he knows his crowd and played it. Everyone loved it. The best candid shots of dancing were to that stupid song! The fact that we had everyone on the floor the whole time was the most important to us and Fabio delivered! Genesis was completely trouble free: they just showed up and did their thing. I really appreciated that Fabio worked with our DOC and the BM to make sure we were kept up to date during the event on when we should do the milestones like cut the cake and throw the bouquet. They also helped us find our Tenor and other performers all of which were reasonable in price and wonderfully talented. Loved them!

The staff at Genesis really worked within my budget for the photobooth! This was something I thought about for a while, and I am SO SO SO happy we decided to use the photobooth and work with Genesis Events. From set-up to sending my photos ASAP, they were a pleasure to work with. Our photobooth was a huge hit and everyone raved how they loved the idea. It added a fun touch to our evening and I would highly recommend Genesis Events to future brides. So fun & easy to work with!

The DJ had everyone on the dance floor. The music never stopped and everyone loved it. The MC was a last minute replacement for the one we have booked and he did and amazing job filling in. Would recommend without a doubt.

Interview With Genesis Events

We care about every event as if it were our own.

1. Tell us about Genesis Events and the inspiration behind the company:

Genesis Events was started in 2008. We started the company after years of working in the wedding and private event industry. We had worked them all and seen it all and we knew that the one thing that separated part time weekenders and the best of the best was passion and talent. So we took that idea and decided we would actively recruit top entertainers in the industry and provide our clients with truly exceptional service. We knew that if we offered the best quality service possible, clients would respond positively. So since 2008 we have employed some of the most talented DJ's, MC's and musicians in the New York Area. We knew that clients appreciated and desired a more white glove approach to their entertainment and there was a need for true unique talent. We have been serving our market ever since and our clients have rave reviews and referred friends and family.

2. Do you have a company motto/philosophy and if so what is it?

Our philosophy is always quality over quantity. Offer the best service possible, and have passion for what you do. We care about every event as if it were our own.

3. If you met a bride or groom to be and had literally one minute to tell them why they should use your company what would you say?

I will do anything I can to make your day special.

4. What sets you apart from other DJs?

For other DJ's this is a job. The one goal is to offer rock bottom prices my cutting corners and providing staff that is less than qualified, or cutting back on production elements. I believe in ethical service, if you treat customers how you would family, the experience is genuine and overall feels better. This business is not like anything else. You are spending an extremely special day with your clients and you become friends.

5. How do you help a couple achieve their dream wedding?

Honesty. Many people will try to yes clients over and over. When I sit with them I will be honest with them and tell them if things they are planning are likely to work or not. Sometimes people will yes clients to death hoping to book a party. But instead we try to give advice based on years of experience and thousands of events. Honesty is appreciated much more than a yes person. Then based on our discussion of everything they want from their event, and our recommendations on how to properly execute. We show up the day and make sure its the best party anyone in the room has ever been to.
